In Pocket Moni, AI was deployed through WhatsApp to remove friction entirely: no installation, no onboarding, no AI literacy required.

This meant accepting hard constraints: stateless messaging, no control over UX, fragmented user input.

Instead of fighting those constraints, the system was designed around them — making adoption possible where a traditional app would have failed.

In AiFred, the challenge was heavy, long-running workloads: large audio files, slow processing, expensive models.

This required treating AI as a pipeline, not an API call:

  • retries and recovery
  • observability and isolation
